Hi,

I was wondering if the following behavior is normal. When we add/modify accounts/users using sacctmgr, the changes are not seen by the slurmctld. Only a complete restart (service slurm restart) makes the changes visible. scontrol reconfigure doesn’t seem to do anything in this case.

FYI, we are running slurm 14.03.6 on RHEL 5.10.

Thanks,

Neither restart nor reconfigure should not be required. Check logs,
firewall, etc.

Yes, you are correct. Our slurmdb wasn’t able to contact the slurmctld at port 6817. Fixing the firewall solved this issue.

Thanks Moe.
